Di tích ở Ninh Bình
Ninh Bình is an ancient land located at the southern gateway of the Red River Delta and the North. This place still preserves many relics directly related to ancient civilisations in Vietnam such as the Tràng An culture, Hòa Bình culture, Đa Bút culture, and Đông Sơn culture. This land, home to the former capital of Hoa Lư, was once the first capital of the centralised feudal state in Vietnam and is also the birthplace of four successive dynasties: Đinh, Lê, Lý, and Trần, marking an era of independence and long-lasting, brilliant development. Ninh Bình possesses major religious architectural works such as those of Buddhism, Catholicism, and the Mother Goddess worship belief, among others. The mountainous area of Ninh Bình was once a military base for the Trần and Tây Sơn dynasties. During the resistance wars against foreign invaders, this place had the Tam Điệp defensive line, Quỳnh Lưu resistance base, Vũ Lâm royal camp, and the historic Hà Nam Ninh campaign. The historical, cultural, natural, and human characteristics have endowed Ninh Bình with a rich and diverse system of heritage sites, contributing to the development of Ninh Bình's tourism industry. The Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex includes many sites with outstanding natural and cultural values and has been recognised by UNESCO as a mixed World Heritage Site.

The cave is situated about 400 metres from the East Gate – Đinh Tiên Hoàng King Temple (20°17′08″N 105°54′12″E) in the direction of Tràng An. In the past, the location of Am Tiên Cave was adjacent to the eastern citadel of the Hoa Lư capital. Most of the Am Tiên Cave area is a flooded valley surrounded by rocky mountain cliffs. To enter the cave, after passing through the gate, one descends along a path on the left side, next to a crystal-clear lake with aquatic plants, lotuses, water lilies, and Tổng Trường perch. Local people believe this place was once a crocodile pond used for punishing criminals in ancient times. Previously, Am Tiên Cave was halfway up the mountain, requiring visitors to climb 205 stone steps along the cliff, but now there is a tunnel through the mountain leading into the cave. The cave is shaped like a dragon’s mouth, so it is also called Dragon Cave. Many stalactites inside resemble rice plants, money trees, Buddha’s hand fruit, and drooping lotus buds with water droplets. Am Tiên Cave is dubbed the 'Tuyệt tịnh cốc' ('Valley of Absolute Purity') and is a tourist destination within the Tràng An World Heritage complex.
Động Thiên Tôn
Động Thiên Tôn
Thiên Tôn Cave is a cave located in the northern part of Hoa Lư ward, Ninh Bình province, Vietnam. The cave is a historical and cultural relic within the Hoa Lư ancient capital relic complex. While Bái Đính Pagoda Mountain venerates the deity Cao Sơn, the mountain god guarding the western gateway to the Tây Citadel, and Tràng An Cave venerates the deity Quý Minh, the water god guarding the southern gateway to the Nam Citadel, Thiên Tôn Cave at Thiên Tôn Pagoda is a relic dedicated to the deity Thiên Tôn, the heavenly god guarding the eastern gateway to the Đông Citadel of the Hoa Lư ancient capital relic area. Thiên Tôn Cave venerates the deity Thiên Tôn, a legendary god of the Hoa Lư capital in the 10th century. According to legend, before leading his army to quell the rebellion of the Twelve Warlords, Đinh Bộ Lĩnh brought offerings to perform rituals in the cave, hoping for the god’s assistance in defeating the other warlords. After ascending the throne, Emperor Đinh Tiên Hoàng established his capital at Hoa Lư and had the Tiền Tế House and Kính Thiên Đài built as places to receive foreign envoys before they entered the capital. An archaeological site at Thiên Tôn Cave was discovered in 1981. Artefacts include floor tiles decorated with phoenixes and lotuses, fragments of model towers, fragments of three-crested water waves of various sizes, two small duck statues reminiscent of the Lý dynasty, a dragon head statue from the Trần dynasty, many pieces of lotus pedestal of various sizes glazed in green and yellow, and many terracotta fragments with decorations. Inside the cave, there is a rectangular stone relic carved with dragon motifs. Thiên Tôn Cave, together with the Trương Family Ancestral Church complex—which venerates the Jade Emperor (Ngọc Hoàng Thượng đế) and notable figures of the Trương family in Vietnamese history—are attractive tourist destinations in the northern part of Hoa Lư ward, Ninh Bình province.
