Ngũ Xã Pagoda
Hà Nội(Chùa Ngũ Xã)

Overview & history
Ngũ Xã Pagoda, with the formal name Thần Quang Tự, is located at 44 Ngũ Xã Street, Ba Đình Ward, Hà Nội. The pagoda was built during the Later Lê dynasty, in the 18th century, and is dedicated to the Buddha and to Nguyễn Minh Không, the patriarch of the bronze casting craft. Its name, Thần Quang, follows the naming of several pagodas founded by this national master, such as Cổ Lễ Pagoda (Ninh Bình), Keo Pagoda (Hưng Yên), and others. The pagoda belongs to the Northern School (Bắc tông) tradition.
The pagoda was recognised by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a National Historical and Cultural Site in 1995.
